Jeff Miller, # 69285
Jeff joined the Jaycees in 1997. He served the Oceanfront Jaycees as Secretary, PR/Marketing Director, Individual Development VP, State Director, President, and Chairman of the Board. He has served the Virginia Jaycees as Program Manager for State Communications—Newsletter and Photographer, and the Website. Jeff is a recipient of the Tucker Watkins Local Officer Award and the Luther Lee Allison Program Manager of the Year Award. He is a 10th Degree Jaycee.
Jeff has been instrumental in creating a unique chapter logo, marketing materials, and chairing public relations events. He has recruited over 40 members for his chapter and others and chaired region-wide activities and trips. Jeff’s activities outside the Jaycees include volleyball and competitive swing dancing. He has coached a girls’ volleyball team to the Junior Olympics and in 2006, he won 2 national swing dancing awards. Jeff resides in Virginia Beach with his wife Amanda. |

Missy Pulling, #69221
Missy joined the Jaycees in 1992. She served her local chapter as Membership Director and VP, State Director, President, and Chairman of the Board. She served the Virginia Jaycees as Regional Director, State Chaplain, and Membership VP and the US Jaycees as Presidential Assistant. Her awards include the Eldridge K. Hayes, the Sydney D. Peck, Thomas Baldridge Award, and Pablo Cuevas. She lead her chapter to a #1 finish in 1998 and was also awarded the Charles Kulp Memorial Award by the US Jaycees.
Missy remains an active member of the West End Jaycees, especially in recent years as the chapter rebuilds. She is an active member of the Republican Party and Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She is a massage therapist and owner of W.O.W. Massage and lives with her son, Patrick, in Richmond, VA. |

Scott Grantham, # 69218
Scott joined the Pulaski County Jaycees in 1988. He served his chapter as President twice, while also chairing numerous local projects. He served the Virginia Jaycees as Regional Director of the Highland Region, State Marketing Director, as well as four years as a member of the state Training Task Force. During the course of his Jaycee career, Scott was awarded Local President of the Quarter, #1 AAA Regional Director, and the Sydney D. Peck Award. Scott currently serves as Camp Director and Products Director for the Life Member Association and as Quartermaster for the Corps of Virginia Gentlemen. He is still an advisor to his local chapter and continues to assist with chapter and state projects.
As a youth, Scott achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and is a veteran of military service, serving in the US Army from 1986 to 1988. Scott’s activities outside the Jaycees include serving on the building committee of his church, Auburn United Methodist Church, lay reader and narrator of church productions. He is currently employed by Radford Auto Center in Radford, VA as service writer and office manager. Scott resides in Riner, VA with his wife, Elissa and daughter, Hannah. |

Beth Fujishige , #69219
Beth joined the Alexandria Jaycees in 1994. She served as Community Development Director and Vice President, Membership Vice President, President and Chairman of the Board. She served the Virginia Jaycees as Model General Assembly Program Manager, Community Development Vice President, Membership Vice President, President and Chairman of the Board. Beth was awarded the Virginia Jaycees Gilbert W. Haith Memorial Action and Keyperson Awards. She is a 50 Member Recruiter and has been awarded the US Junior Chamber Outstanding Local Officer and US Junior Chamber Steve Little Memorial Award for Outstanding State Membership Vice President. She is a Keyman of the Alexandria Jaycees and Life Member of the Virginia Jaycees.
In 1996, Beth received the Virginia Jaycee Outstanding Young Virginian Award. She also received the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Patron Saint Award which recognizes those who ensure that academically qualified students can afford a post secondary education. Beth is also a co-founder of Nen Daiko, part of Ekoji Buddhist Temple. Beth is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Alexandria Red Cross, Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN), and Rebuilding Together Alexandria. A Political Science and History graduate of UCLA, Beth received her MBA from the Peter Drucker School of Management at Claremont University. Beth now lives in Santa Ana, CA where she is a managing partner of Paradise Perks, LLC. |

Melissa Sleeth, #69220
Melissa joined the Jaycees in 1994. She served as Leadership Academy Chairman, Financial Management Director, Financial Management Vice President, President, and Chairman of the Board. She served the Virginia Jaycees as Secretary, Regional Director, and Program Manager and the Life Member Association as State Functions VP, President, and Chairman of the Board. She chaired the Training Task Force and currently chairs the Corporate Planning Committee and is Treasurer for the Corps of Virginia Gentlemen. She is a recipient of the Horace Henderson Outstanding Jaycee Award, Robert “Buz” Schultz Leadership Award, and Robert L. Woodard Commitment Award.
In recent years, Melissa has been instrumental in the process of rebuilding the West End Jaycees, helping to form the chapter’s Foundation and serving as the Foundation’s Treasurer. She works at the Valentine Richmond History Center as the Director of Visitor Services and continues to play clarinet with the Richmond Concert Band. Melissa resides in Richmond with her husband Ron. |

Kathleen Cistola, #68704
Kathleen joined the Oceanfront Jaycees in 1999 and held several positions of leadership within her chapter. In 2004, she became the state Program Manager for Degrees and International Programs for which she won the Seiji Horiuchi National Program Manager award. She then went on to serve in several other positions at the state level: Atlantic Regional Director, Community Development VP, Management VP and finally State President 2008. Under her leadership as State President, the Virginia Jaycees finished the year at growth and finished #3 in the nation, an accomplishment that has only been achieved one other time in the past 20 years! For this she was awarded the Allen Whitfield Memorial Award at the national level.
Kathleen currently serves as the board member of Camp Virginia Jaycee, and she enjoys making everyone feel welcome in the Senate suite in her role as Hospitality Director, since that’s the way life should be!
Kathleen recently became engaged to Tom King and is now planning a wedding and a move to Northern Virginia! |

Dawana Harris-Bey, #68527
Dawana joined the Arlington Jaycees in 1996. She has held the position of Secretary, PR Director, Financial Mgmt VP, Management VP, and President. She has served twice on committees to keep the chapter going when leadership was low. Dawana is a 10th Degree Jaycee and continues to be an active member of her chapter. At the State Level, she has worked on the Training Task Force, served as Regional Director and served as Chief of Staff. Dawana was Editor of the State Newsletter for three years in a row and was honored with the Seiji Horiuchi Memorial Award the third year for her achievements as the Newsletter PM.
Dawana is a native of Washington, D.C. She currently works for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and recently celebrated her 20 year anniversary with the government. Dawana is also active with Pilot International, another civic organization of which her home club is also Arlington. She is currently serving as the Northeast Potomac District of PI's Treasurer. Dawana currently lives in Silver Spring and is happily married to her husband of almost one year, Anthony. |
