A JCI Senatorship is an award for rendering outstanding service to this organization and the highest honor a Jaycee can receive.  It confers upon the recipient life membership in Junior Chamber International. Unlike many other Jaycee awards, a Senatorship is an honor that can be bestowed on a member only once in a lifetime.

 

Generally, the recipients are Life Members of the Virginia Jaycees, have provided a high level of service and dedication to their local chapter over an extended period of time, and have served the Virginia Jaycees in either an elected or an appointed capacity.

 

There are now over 85,000 JCI Senators worldwide.  However, this represents less than 1% of all Jaycee members past and present.  To be recognized by one’s local chapter is truly a great honor for a Jaycee member.
