Community Engagement

Virginia Senate in Action

Taking you on an Adventure with every Community Service Project

‘Service to Humanity is the Best work of Life’ - The last line in the ‘JayCee’ creed which we all know very well, will be what we aim to accomplish this year.  We are excited to bring you some type of service projects for all Senators, and engage the broader Virginia JCI family, at each of our Senate meetings.

Many of us still serve our communities and may need some helping hands.  Let us know if you have any community projects you would like me to announce that could using our helping hands.

Let us help fill up your Passport to Adventure with our Community Service  Projects -- -it is after all "The Best Work Of Life"

Fall 2022

Our service project for our Fall meeting on November 5th will be compiling breakfast kits for Atlantic Outreach Group.

AOG’s mission is to empower vulnerable communities by connecting them to resources necessary for their success, with a Vision to create opportunities for vulnerable individuals that provides a holistic pathway to becoming healthy, independent, productive members of society.

We have created a Signup Genius if you would like to contribute donating any of the items for the breakfast kits.   We will be creating 100 breakfast kits.

Further, as mentioned in the newsletter, we will be collecting Winter clothing for our friends at Hilton Baptist Church, so as you start pulling out your winter items and find that you need to refresh some, please consider bringing your unwanted items to the Fall meeting for donation.  We also hope to leave some of the items in the Richmond area.
